In spite of my reticence for this type of digital technology, I will be keeping this on my PC as a new tool to explore HDR photography in greater depth. HDR Projects is a welcomed and able addition to the software arsenal that will be sure to fullfill the needs of a large number of HDR photographers in that its natural workflow can be more approachable.įor these reasons, I give FRANZIS high marks for this current version of their software HDR Projects. But any tool is only as good as the user's skill in its implementation. Poor coding practices can easily compound in even the most robust of system resources to kill performance to a total chore.Īdobe Photoshop is the de facto standard in image processing. Everything seemed stable, which is paramount as you do not want to be significantly into an editing stage only to find a software crash (the old "blue screen") just when you had reached perfection. IMHO HDR photos appear flat and lacklustre. The Art of photography is in the contrast, manipulating the mind's eye to "see" what the photographer envisioned through the lense complete with its dramatic content. Personally, I really do not like HDR photographs at all.
